I’d been dreaming of creating a wedding invitation suite with beautiful, chic flowers that also felt fun and cheerful. Inspired by the intricate floral patterns of folk art, I veered towards graphic lines and flat colours whilst keeping the palette modern and bridal. Drawing Inspiration from Folk Art

For a while I've been obsessing over the intricate floral patterns of Scandinavian folk art. So I aimed to infuse a little of that graphic spirit into this wedding invitation suite. I also happened to be drooling over the particularly gorgeous trend of incorporating wild daisies into floral arrangements. I just think the childlike sweetness of daisies is a great compliment to more luxurious flowers like anemones and cosmos. So the flowers chose themselves!

A Floral Symphony

To me, the star of this invitation suite is the white cosmos. I just adore these delicate flowers. Truth be told I haven't been able to keep them alive in my garden, but I'm pleased to say that they can now live forever on the page! I think they bring a sense of simplicity and elegance to the design. The daisies add a touch of playfulness and frenetic joy, while the blushing pink anemones give it some warmth and sweetness.
